How to Apply

Prospective applicants MUST carefully read all the following instructions before starting the application process.

 

How to apply as an Undergraduate applicant

Documents you will need before you apply online:

  • Passport picture soft copy (Dimension 470 by 470 pixels - JPG/JPEG/PNG format, with a light green background) Note: No selfies or low quality pictures.
  • Scanned copy of your:
    • WASSCE/SSCE/ ‘A’ Level certificate (PDF format)
    • Birth certificate (PDF format)
    • Recognized National ID (PDF format)

 

Ghanaian Applicants

Step 1: Sign up and Verify an Account

Visit apps.knust.edu.gh/admissions to Sign up and verify your account.

Step 2: Purchase an E-Voucher or Verify an E-Voucher

After verifying your account, proceed to Purchase an E-Voucher or Verify an existing E-Voucher

How to purchase an E-Voucher

The online application E-Voucher can be purchased via:

  • Option 1: The KNUST Admissions Portal.
    Purchase an E-voucher via bank card (VISA/Mastercard) or Mobile Money (All networks). After signing up and verifying your account, proceed to:
  1. Select the Ghanaian Applicant Option.
  2. Select Purchase Voucher Online.
  3. Choose your Programme Type: Undergraduate.
  4. Select your Programme Stream: Regular Stream.
  5. Select application form category: Undergraduate Ghanaian.
  6. Proceed to make payment.
  7. After payment, start the application.

 

Note: For options 2 and 3 below, make sure you have an Admissions Portal account set up before validating a previously purchased voucher. Visit apps.knust.edu.gh/admissions to create an account if you don’t have one.

 

  • Option 2: USSD code.
  1. From a mobile device, type *415*55#. Follow the prompts to purchase an E-voucher via Mobile Money (All Networks).
  2. After completing your purchase, log in to the Admissions Portal.
  3. Select the Ghanaian Applicant Option.
  4. Select Voucher Verification.
  5. After Voucher Verification, start the application.

 

  • Option 3: Designated Ghana Post Offices.
  1. Purchase an E-Voucher from designated Ghana Post Offices.
  2. After your purchase, log in to the Admissions Portal.
  3. Select the Ghanaian Applicant Option.
  4. Select Voucher Verification.
  5. After Voucher Verification, start the application.

 

International Applicants

The online application E-Voucher can be purchased via The KNUST Admissions Portal. Purchase an E-voucher via bank card (VISA/Mastercard).

Step 2: Purchase an E-Voucher

After verifying your account, proceed to:

  1. Select the International Applicant Option.
  2. Purchase Voucher Online.
  3. Choose your Programme Type: Undergraduate.
  4. Select your Programme Stream: Regular Stream.
  5. Proceed to make payment.
  6. After payment, start the application.

 

 

How to apply as a Postgraduate applicant

Documents you will need before you apply online:

  • Passport picture soft copy (Dimension 470 by 470 pixels - JPG/JPEG/PNG format, with a light green background) Note: No selfies or low quality pictures should be uploaded.
  • Scanned copy of your:
    • Undergraduate certificate (PDF format)
    • Birth certificate (PDF format)
    • Recognized National ID (PDF format)
  • Details of TWO References needed include, full Name, Rank, Email address and phone number

 

Ghanaian Applicants

Step 1: Sign up and Verify an Account

Visit apps.knust.edu.gh/admissions to Sign up and verify your account.

Step 2: Purchase an E-Voucher or Verify an E-Voucher

After verifying your account, proceed to Purchase an E-Voucher or Verify an existing E-Voucher

How to purchase an E-Voucher

The online application E-Voucher can be purchased via:

  • Option 1: The KNUST Admissions Portal.

  5. Select application form category: Postgraduate Ghanaian.
  6. Proceed to make payment.
  7. After payment, start the application.

 

NB: For Options 2 and 3 below, make sure you have an Admissions Portal account set up before validating a previously purchased voucher. Visit apps.knust.edu.gh/admissions to create an account if you don’t have one.
