Seeking to improve quality of education and research, our college has collaborated with sister universities as a further step to make the college one of the best in the sub-region. The College has signed a Cooperation Agreement with the University of Technology, Kingston, Jamaica. Discussions are still in progress with the Birmingham City University on possible areas of Cooperation.
Faculties under the College have developed links with some academic and professional institutions within and outside Ghana, currently collaborating with Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) in the UK in areas of research, staff development and mobility and student exchange, these efforts have resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SHU and KNUST.
The faculty of Planning and Land Economy in collaboration with the UNDP and the World Bank to seek support for two projects of the Faculty. These are on the preparation of "State of Human Settlements in Ghana Report" and the establishment of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Laboratory. The UNDP has shown interest in the projects. A proposal will be submitted soon for their formal consideration.
